United States : DELTA AIR LINES expands SEATTLE service.

Delta Air Lines has announced that beginning 2014, it will add new daily direct service to Seattle-Tacoma International Airport from San Diego International Airport and Portland International Airport plus an extra flight from Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

Atlanta USA-based carrier Delta s new and expanded Seattle service comprises four new daily direct flights from San Diego as of June 2, 2014. Also, the airline will add new daily direct flights from Portland, Ore. from Sept. 2, 2014. As of June 5, 2014, Delta will add new summer seasonal flight from Anchorage, Alaska besides returning seasonal service which starts on May 23, 2014.

Also, the carrier is adding double Medallion Qualification Miles to its newly announced Seattle double miles campaign.

Now, SkyMiles members can earn double miles and double Medallion Qualification Miles for Seattle service between Anchorage, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego and San Francisco on all Delta-marketed and Delta or Delta Connection-operated flights through Oct. 31, 2014.

Delta Connection carrier SkyWest Airlines will operate Delta s new service from San Diego and Portland with 76-seat, two-class CRJ-900s. The extra Anchorage-Seattle seasonal service will be served with a Boeing 737-800.
