United States : Actor and Advocate Amber Heard Joins Rep Speier in Call for Bipartisan Bill Banning Nonconsensual Sharing of Intimate Images.

Congresswoman Jackie Speier (D-CA) on Wednesday will be joined by Actor and Privacy Rights Advocate Amber Heard and other privacy and victims rights advocates for the reintroduction of her federal legislation that targets perpetrators who knowingly share sexually explicit or nude images of someone without their consent, also known as nonconsensual pornography or revenge porn. Rep. Speiers bill, co-led by Congressman John Katko (R-NY), will hold accountable and deter violators of intimate privacy, from vengeful exes to online predators who profit from and entertain themselves with the distribution of private intimate images. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) is introducing companion legislation in the U.S. Senate.
