United States : ANTIOCH approved a 5-year deal with the new waste hauler GROOT.
The implementation of a new agreement with Groot Industries, a waste hauling firm, will facilitate replacement of the current hauler Waste Management from the first day of next month, thanks to the Antioch officials.
The officials have given approval for a five-year contract with the new waste hauler, replacing Waste Management. Despite this change, the villagers will continue to get the same services that they are receiving from the existing hauler, according to the Antioch officials.
The delivery of carts has been taking place over the week, with plans to give all village residents with a garbage cart and recycling cart of 95-gallon and 65-gallon respectively, revealed the officials.
According to the village, villagers willing to sign up in the limited service program with a 65-gallon cart will have to send their requests to Antioch@groot.com.
Residents will be given landscape waste and leaf vacuuming without any breaks for zero added cost.
Containers of less than 35-gallon weighing below 50 pounds can be utilized for landscape waste, with proper marking to indicate the purpose.
The village residents will have to make a formal request to increase the size of their recycling cart to a 95-gallon cart for free.
Waste Management s scheduled cart removal service is between Sept. 24 & 30, 2015, while a request has been made for refraining from returning the carts on the hauler s last day of operation.
