United States : 25 new buildings on CAPITAL HILL wait for SEATTLE CITY LIGHT hookups.
In spite of all that development in a relatively small area, City Light officials say the major challenge isn't actually fulfilling the need for power, which the neighborhood grid is strong enough to handle.
The biggest issue is rather the complicated scheduling and workforce needed to move electrical poles and lines to pave the way for new construction and offer hook-ups when construction crews require it.
A senior official of City Light said that since many of Capitol Hill s new projects are replacing older and less effective buildings, the demand for energy has not increased significantly although density continues to rise.
