United Kingdom : Where urban innovation, productivity & sustainability meet: sustainable smart cities seminar.

Local governments around the world are grappling with rising populations and growing infrastructure investment demands whilst striving to improve the liveability of urban areas. Against this backdrop, smart technologies, analytics and digital design have the potential to transform the way we address imperatives such as air pollution, transport connectivity, water/waste management, energy and climate change.

To help drive practical progress in this field, the Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) and the Association of Directors of Environment, Economy, Planning & Transport (ADEPT)local authority directorsare co-hosting a seminar Smartly Sustainable: Using smart technologies to help local authorities do more for less in London on April 18, 2018. Building on the work of Sustainable Smart Cities, this half-day Ramboll-sponsored event provides a platform for sharing insights into the improvement of urban sustainability and productivity through innovation.
