United Kingdom : Omagh Care Home wins again.

Health Minister, Edwin Poots, has congratulated Harold McCauley House, on winning the SuperValu Best Kept Health and Social Care Facility Awards.

The Minister was attending the 2012 presentation of awards, where Harold McCauley House, Omagh a residential home for older people, has taken the top title for the third year in a row. He congratulated all the winners and praised them for their commitment to the health and well-being of service users and staff.

Minister Poots said: I would like to congratulate all of the winners in this year s SuperValu Best Kept Health and Social Care Facility Awards, and applaud them for putting so much effort into maintaining and improving their indoor and outdoor spaces. The awards highlight the hard work of health and social care teams, along with their clients, as it is very often a joint effort, and their commitment to making the very best of their shared surroundings. A well-cared for environment makes a real difference to the well-being of service users, which is so important in a health and social care setting."

The Minister concluded: Special congratulations must go to Harold McCauley House for winning the overall prize again this year, it s an amazing achievement.

Harold McCauley House was named the Best of the Best out of a shortlist of twelve facilities winners in each of the five Health Trust regions. Northern Ireland Amenity Council judges commended the residential home for the tidiness and cleanliness of its grounds and its well-maintained and colourful gardens.
