British product durability analysis company Safe Technology Ltd has been purchased by the French 3D design firm Dassault Systemes.

Safe Technology is based in Sheffield, U.K and it has a number of major automotive and heavy equipment clients, including General Motors, Hyundai Motors, Harley Davidson Motor Co., Cummins Inc., Honda Jets and Caterpillar Inc.

The fe-safe durability simulation suite is also formulated by the company for predicting product durability.

According to Dassault Systemes president and CEO Bernard Charles, Advanced fatigue and durability software solutions are an essential part of the product design process. Safe Technology will enhance Dassault Systemes SIMULIA structural simulation to predict and analyze product life quickly and accurately.

It was finished the all-cash transaction on Aug. 7, 2013.
