United Kingdom : CENTRICA to deal with its Race Bank wind farm plant.

Race Bank offshore wind farm project of Centrica to be sold out to DONG Energy (UK) Limited at the value of Au50 million.

And with the planning, Centrica having taken the project and Front End Engineering Design phase, DONG Energy will now initiate with the growth of projects.

In 2012, Race Bank was accepted and it is situated 27km off the Norfolk Coast, in addition, once it is entirely completed and it coul cope with the equivalent annual electricity demand of over 450,000 UK homes.

Mark Hanafin, Managing Director of Centrica Energy said: "This transaction marks the next step in the development of the Race Bank wind farm and we are pleased that the project will continue to progress towards a Final Investment Decision."

Following completion of the transaction, Centrica will retain equity interests totalling 290MW in four operational wind farms in the UK.
