United Kingdom : Axtec wins 4-year contract renewal to maintain and certify the DVSAs network of 55 roadside enforcement weighbridges all over the UK.

Axtec - axle weighing specialist has secured a four-year contract renewal to maintain and certify the DVSAs network of 55 roadside enforcement weighbridges all over the UK.

The Runcorn-based company has held the DVSA contract for nearly two decades.

According to the company, under this contract, it will carry out regular level surveys to certify that flat weighbridge approaches are within legal limits.

Axtecs in-house construction team has the facilities to develop, fit and repair any weighbridges.

Axtec staff will take up routine maintenance and calibration using equipment carried on a trailer hauled by a Daf XF.

Axtec MD Keith Gresham said, The DVSA have asked us to develop ways of reducing costs, without compromising service to deliver better value for the taxpayer during the course of the contract.
