United Arab Emirates : Tejar Dubai creates networking opportunity for Emirati entrepreneurs.

As part of its efforts to provide an ideal platform for budding business talent to network with Emirati entrepreneurs, Tejar Dubai, a Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry initiative, hosted a Suhour get-together for Emirati entrepreneurs at the Dubai World Trade Centre Ramadan Majlis recently.

With its aim of bringing nascent UAE talent face to face with Emirati entrepreneurs, the Suhour get-together succeeded in its objective of providing yet another platform for business-minded youth to network and build up new alliances during Ramadan.

Attended by around 25 young entrepreneurs, the get-together discussed challenges faced by entrepreneurs in their business, with some putting forward solutions to the challenges while exchanging experiences and knowledge about best business practices and success stories.

Mr. Essa Al Zbi, Senior Vice-President, Institutional Support Sector, Dubai Chamber and General Coordinator of Tejar Dubai, stated that Tejar Dubai always endeavours to create new business networking opportunities to allow aspiring entrepreneurs to share creative business ideas with like-minded people.

He added that this first Majlis has achieved its purpose of encouraging business networking amongst the youth and has subsequently paved the way for more such gatherings in the future.

Al Zbi also informed that the entrepreneurship development programme is progressing well and is helping newcomers to enter the world of entrepreneurship through their innovative business ideas as he cited the example of the opening of a nursery and early learning centre by one of the participants adding that 10 such new projects are soon to be implemented.

The Tejar Dubai initiative was launched by Dubai Chamber last year under the vision of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, which emphasises that entrepreneurship is the shortest route to a bright future. It aims to find and train creative and commercially-minded youth to help them turn their business ideas into a reality.

Under its three key pillars of assess, assist and attain, the Tejar Dubai initiative provides youth with access to an extensive development programme, including classroom learning, on-site training, mentoring and business advice, as well as networking opportunities with local and international business leaders and access to investment capital.
