United Airlines to launch longest nonstop passenger flight in April.


United Airlines has indicated that it will launch the world's longest nonstop scheduled passenger flight on 1 April.

The daily flight between New York's JFK International Airport and Hong Kong is 7,339 nautical miles and will be operated with a Boeing 747-400 aircraft.

The carrier is also resuming a round-the-world service to Delhi, India via Hong Kong using a Boeing 747-400 aircraft, as well as a new service from Chicago's O'Hare International Airport to Beijing, China using a Boeing 777 aircraft. The San Francisco to Shanghai, China route will also be boosted with two additional frequencies from April using Boeing 747-400 aircraft.
