Unicharm posts results.
Japanese producer Unicharm announced results for the first half of fiscal 1993, the period from April to September. The company posted an increase of 51.8 million [Yen] in sales, up 25.3% over the previous terms. By division, sales were up 24.4% in baby wipes and related products, 11.3% in sanitary products and 54.9% in other products. The introduction of the company's training pants proved to be a success with the public, leading in part to the wide sales increases.
