Unica Announces Alliance with ISID to Enter Japanese Market.

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Agreement with Information Services International-Dentsu, Ltd. to Deliver Marketing Management Solutions in Japan

Unica Corporation (Nasdaq:UNCA), a global provider of Enterprise Marketing Management (EMM) and winner of CRM Magazine's Market Leader Award for marketing solutions, today announced an alliance with Information Services International-Dentsu, Ltd. (ISID). As a result, ISID will launch a new enterprise marketing management solution to power event-driven marketing solutions--based on Unica's Affinium Suite(TM)--helping Japanese businesses deliver customer-centric marketing operations.

Unica and ISID have completed an agreement to offer Unica's best-of-breed software to Japanese businesses seeking to implement event-driven marketing. ISID selected Unica for its product leadership, strong analyst ratings and high customer satisfaction. ISID will offer Affinium Campaign(TM), a core component of Unica's Affinium Suite, and assist Unica with its localization. Initially, ISID will focus on solutions for "right-time" marketing - the ability to deliver marketing communications that are so relevant and timely, they are welcomed by the customer. The solution allows companies to define and act upon hundreds of events that signal a change in customer behavior or an opportunity for customer communication, such as abandoned shopping carts, significant deposits, reduced airline fares to desired destinations or the availability of a new MP3 player. Affinium automatically executes, manages, and measures finely-targeted campaigns based on those events. It allows marketers to optimize and prioritize communications to ensure that customers and prospects do not receive irrelevant and excessive communications.
