Local sources report that an Israeli soldier might have been captured by the Palestinian resistance in Kerem Shalom, an Israeli kibbutz south of the Gaza Strip.
There have been heavy clashes in the area since the morning between the Palestinian fighters and the Israeli army. Kerem Shalom was declared a 'miltary zone' shortly before because of a security incident.
Two Palestinians were killed by snipers this morning in Rafah, a few kilometers north of Kerem Shalom. Clashes were ongoing in this area overnight between the resistance and the IOF.
The Israeli media reports that several Palestinian fighters were seen this morning coming out of tunnels in the Eshkol region, where Kerem Shalom is, firing mortar shells.
Israel has just announced that the ceasfire has ended and that they will resume operations in the Gaza Strip. Just hours before the ceasefire came into force at least 16 Palestinians were killed by Israeli tanks and airstrikes, and 4 others were killed by the IOF in the first hours of the ceasefire.
