Uganda : UGANDA urged to re-establish national airline.

The Government of Uganda has been urged by its people to re-establish a national carrier in the interest of the country, earning foreign currency and pride.

A carrier is a key national asset. Any country worth its salt must back a national carrier where it has a stake.

It can wholly own the carrier or it can partially operate an airline with well defined stakeholding of 60% Government and 40% the private industry.

The world is making money and hence the Ugandas should also generate revenue from the aviation industry and tourism.

The country has lost a lot of money to foreign airlines, since the Uganda Airlines unfortunately collapsed
