UV system protects Coca-Cola process.

UV System Protects Coca-Cola Process

To protect their production process from the risk of contamination by water-borne spoilage organisms, Coca-Cola and Schweppes Beverages Ltd have installed an ultra violet water disinfection system. This unit, from Hanovia Ltd of Slough, is capable of treating 120cu m an hour of incoming process water. It replaces a chlorination and carbon filtration disinfection plant.

One of the reasons for installing this equipment at the Milton Keynes factory is the fact that the system requires little maintenance or supervision and it has been integrated into the automated process system.
