UV night for return of the 'tubadours' Also playing: Biscuithead & The Biscuit Badgers.

St Valentine's Day UV Massacre Nags Head, Lazenby Tomorrow Entry PS5 ALATE St Valentine's Day party this weekend boasts an eclectic line-up of bands, DJs and dancers performing.

Belting out of the soundsystem at the Nags Head in Lazenby tomorrow will be a combination of "swingy folk with a touch of bass".

The event has been organised by the good people at Old Saw Mill Parties and is going under the title of St Valentine's Day UV Massacre.

The theme, including dress code, is 1920s flappers and gangsters in ultra-violet. It will be split into two rooms with bands in The Pub Room and DJs in The Barn Room.

Topping the bill in the former is leftfield kingpins BISCUITHEAD & THE BISCUIT BADGERS.

For six years the Leeds lot have been gathering a reputation as oddball "tubadours" who will leave you" singing of land hermit crabs and cheese".

During that time their albums, Interspecies Disco and The Greatest Show on Toast and videos, The Seaweed under the Sofa and Dinosaurs have catapulted them to "the edge of obscurity".

The one-of-a-kind four-piece have been described as "moustache-powered tuba cabaret marvels".

Biscuithead will be joined by burlesque dancer JODIE JAMESON, THE BIG SNAKES MYSTERY ORCHESTRA and ELVIS HEROD.

On disc-spinning duty will be CPN BONES from Yellow Sub Soundsystem, CUT MAESTRO of Beatfreekz, SI LILLEKER from Off The Cuff and Lost Parties and BROTHER BEAR of hosts OSM Parties.

There will also be live clarinet and saxophone from MIMI O'MALLEY, as well as facepainting, food, photobooths and UV items for sale.

Tickets are available by visiting Facebook and entering "The Old Saw Mill Garden Parties", or on the door at the Nags Head tomorrow priced PS5.
