USAIR TO OFFER TWICE DAILY JETS TO PITTSBURGH NOV. 10

ROANOKE, Va., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir will introduce twice daily nonstop jet flights between Roanoke and Pittsburgh on Nov. 10, increasing total service in the market from seven to eight daily roundtrips.
Operated with Boeing 737 jets, the flights will depart Roanoke daily at 8 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. and arrive in Pittsburgh, respectively, at 8:53 a.m. and 7:13 p.m.
Return flights, also operated with Boeing 737s, will depart Pittsburgh at 4:35 p.m. and 9:05 p.m. and arrive here at 5:29 p.m. and 9:59 p.m., respectively.
"our decision to reinstate jet service to Pittsburgh is in direct response to requests from our customers and a growing market," said D.O. "Mac" McCadden, USAir district sales manager in Roanoke. "The flights will give Roanoke travelers additional access to our largest connecting hub where USAir and our USAir Express affiliates offer nearly 500 daily flights to destinations throughout the United States and Europe."
USAir and USAir Express also provide frequent flights between Roanoke, Charlotte and BWI, two other USAir connecting hubs.
Earlier this month, USAir added daily nonstop jet service between Roanoke and New York's LaGuardia Airport to its schedules.
