USAIR TO DEDICATE NEW JET ENGINE TESTING FACILITY NOV. 18

    What:    USAir dedication of a new $12 million jet engine testi ng
              facility at the Pittsburgh International Airport. This is
              one of the world's largest and most modern such test cells
              in the world.
             The new facility has "fly-by-wire" engine controls and
              other sophisticated technology. Also, some $1 million was
              spent on noise control.
             Come see a jet engine run at full power while it is
              suspended inside a special chamber. Media will be given a
              special briefing and demonstration.
    When:    Wednesday, Nov. 18, 11:30 a.m.
    Where:   USAir maintenance complex. Directions from Pittsburgh:
              Parkway West to Beaver Valley Expressway. At first traffic
              signal beyond Beer's School Road intersection, turn left.
              Follow road through two stop signs and another traffic
              light. At "Y" intersection turn left onto Hangar Road.
              Proceed up hill through guard station to next stop sign.
              Guards will direct you to parking on the ramp inside the
              hangar area.
