USAIR SHUTTLE TO OFFER 1,500 MILES PER FLIGHT SEGMENT

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The USAir Shuttle has increased its USAir Frequent Traveler Program (FTP) mileage credit from 1,000 to 1,500 miles for each segment, from now through Dec. 31, 1993.
"USAir FTP members have always been able to earn a free domestic ticket at 20,000 miles, the fastest way to a free ticket to the most destinations of any airline," said Terry Hallcom, USAir Shuttle CEO and president. "Now, FTP members can get that ticket even faster as they receive 1,5000 miles for each USAir Shuttle flight segment."
Hallcom added: "Shuttle customers can also earn trips to 115 worldwide destinations when they fly USAir's global partner, British Airways. Combined, USAir and its 10 international airline partners offer award travel to more than 350 cities in 78 countries -- more destinations than any frequent flyer program. FTP members also earn mileage when they frequent seven popular hotel chains and three major car rental companies."
In addition to earning miles through travel, USAir FTP members enrolled in the American Express Membership Miles program can fly the USAir Shuttle and earn mileage credits in both programs when using their American Express cards.
The USAir Shuttle offers hourly service between New York LaGuardia Airport and Washington National Airport, and between LaGuardia Airport and Boston's Logan International Airport.
The USAir Shuttle is owned by Shuttle Inc. and operated by USAir under a management agreement.
