USAIR SHUTTLE TO EXPAND WEEKEND SERVICE

USAIR SHUTTLE TO EXPAND WEEKEND SERVICE
NEW YORK, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to increased

customer traffic, the USAir Shuttle will expand its weekend service between New York LaGuardia Airport and both Boston Logan and Washington National Airports, effective this Saturday, June 6.
"The USAir Shuttle is increasing the number of flights offered on both Saturday and Sunday to meet greater demand for seats during peak weekend leisure travel periods," said Gordon Linkon, USAir Shuttle president and CEO.
"Clearly, the popularity of the $60 weekend fare introduced by the USAir Shuttle last month has increased demand for seats during Saturday mornings and early Sunday afternoons, and we are now moving to meet that demand," he said. "For the month of May 1991, the USAir Shuttle boarded more passengers than in any previous month of its history back through October of 1990(A). This is very encouraging."
Under the new weekend schedule, the Shuttle will offer hourly service on Saturday mornings beginning at 8 a.m. Currently, Saturday morning flights depart every other hour. The Saturday afternoon and evening schedule will remain the same, with service every other hour.
Also the USAir Shuttle now will begin hourly service on Sunday afternoons earlier -- at 1 p.m., instead of the previous 3 p.m. The Sunday morning schedule will remain the same, with flight departures every other hour.
There will be no change in the weekday USAir Shuttle schedule.
USAir Shuttle customers arriving at the gate prior to the on-the- hour scheduled departure time are guaranteed a seat without prior reservation. USAir Shuttle flyers are offered complimentary snacks and beverages, access to Airphones and generous mileage bonuses in the USAir Frequent Traveler Program.
