USAIR FREQUENT TRAVELER PROGRAM ADDS NEW AWARD DESTINATIONS

ARLINGTON, Va., July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir Frequent Traveler Program (FTP) members will soon have a whole new world of destinations available for FTP award travel. Beginning immediately, USAir FTP members can request USAir FTP awards to nearly 90 additional destinations on the British Airways system -- from Hong Kong to the Seychelles, from Nairobi to St. Petersburg, from Cairo to Auckland -- for travel beginning Sept. 15.
"As a benefit of the new USAir/British Airways alliance, USAir FTP members who earn awards will be able to fly almost everywhere in the world on British Airways for free," said J. Daniel Brock, USAir's vice president-marketing services. "The USAir Frequent Traveler Program now provides more award destinations than any other airline program."
Of the new destinations, nearly 60 have never before been offered in the USAir program, including 30 destinations in Africa, the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent; 27 in Europe; and two in the Far East.
USAir FTP members can request their British Airways award immediately and begin travel this fall. All awards are subject to blackout dates and capacity controls.
Since May 1, 1993, North American USAir FTP members have been able to fly on British Airways anywhere in the world, anytime, and earn credit in the USAir Frequent Traveler Program.
