USAIR CONSOLIDATES RESPONSIBILITIES IN FINANCE DEPARTMENT
ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir today announced a restructuring of responsibilities in its corporate financial department that includes the consolidation of three officer-level positions into one, effective Dec. 3.
John W. Harper will join USAir Dec. 3 as vice president and controller. He will be responsible for a number of areas within USAir's corporate financial department that were previously headed by three separate officers, whose positions have been eliminated. They are general accounting, revenue accounting, credits and collections, financial planning and analysis, payroll, taxes, and accounts payable.
The restructuring plan also includes the promotion of Julie S. Roberts to vice president-financial planning and analysis. She will report to Harper.
Also reporting to Harper will be Ann V. Greer-Rector, who has been promoted to assistant controller, and James A. Hultquist, who has been promoted to senior director-taxes.

He is currently vice president-marketing and information systems for Axe-Houghton Management, Inc. of Tarrytown, N.Y. He earned a B.A. in economics and an M.B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Roberts joined USAir in 1980 as a systems analyst and subsequently served in several management positions, including assistant vice president-operating budgets and financial analysis, the position she held prior to her recent promotion. She holds a B.A. from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
Greer-Rector joined USAir in 1983 as manager-general accounting and served as director-general accounting prior to her promotion. She is a graduate of George Mason University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Hultquist joined USAir in 1978 as tax manager and later served as assistant director-taxes and director-tax research and planning before being promoted to his new position. He holds a degree in business finance from the University of Nebraska and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
