 USA TODAY ANNOUNCES IT WILL ACCEPT REGIONAL ADVERTISING
 FOR PITTSBURGH MARKET
 WASHINGTON, June 2 /PRNewswire/ -- USA TODAY announced today it will begin accepting regional advertising for the Pittsburgh market effective for Monday publication.
 "We are responding to advertiser interest to provide additional ad pages on a daily basis," said Tom Curley, president and publisher of USA TODAY.
 Curley said the newspaper will add pages to accommodate advertiser demand. News content will not change.
 USA TODAY, which will accept only black and white ads for this special program, requires an 85-line half-tone screen. Ad units and prices Monday through Thursday (weekly frequency discounts are available):
 -- Full page (13 inches x 21 inches) $4,560
 -- Half page (13 x 10 1/2) $2,850
 -- Quarter page (6 7/16 x 10 1/2) $1,781
 Rates are slightly higher for weekend editions published on Fridays.
 Curley said USA TODAY is currently selling about 95,000 copies daily in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.
