US Senator Ted Kennedy to release children's book.
M2 BEST BOOKS-(C)2000-2006 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTDA new children's book authored by US Sen. Ted Kennedy is scheduled to be released by Scholastic Inc in May 2006.
The book, entitled My Senator and Me: A Dogs-Eye View of Washington, D.C., features Kennedy's own Portuguese Water Dog named Splash and tells the story of a typical day in Kennedy's life, explaining how a bill becomes a law and the roles of Congress and the Senate.
According to The Associated Press, the book is 56 pages long and includes illustrations by David Small, winner of the 2001 Caldecott Medal.
It was also revealed that all net proceeds from the book will be donated to charity.
