US NanoMech unveils Canano takeover.


US NanoMech, a producer of nanoparticle-based additives, coatings and coating deposition systems, said Wednesday it has taken over sector player Canadian Nano Technologies, or Canano, for an undisclosed sum.

Canano specialises in the provision of custom engineered nanopowders used in sectors such as electronics, agriculture, solar energy and aerospace.

The takeover will add new nanomaterial production expertise to the technology offerings of NanoMech and will also result in crucial synergy effects, the company's CEO Jim Phillips said in a statement.
