US Ministry of Foreign Affairs delegation visits National Rehabilitation Centre.

Abu Dhabi: In an attempt to encourage mutual cooperation, a delegation from the US Ministry of Foreign Affairs paid a visit to the National Rehabilitation Centre in Abu Dhabi.

The delegation included representatives from the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs as well as representatives from the Colombo Plan Drug Advisory Programme.

Director General of the Rehabilitation Centre, Hamad Ghaferi said that the meeting was part of a plan to turn the Centre into an accredited one that provides training in the field of drug prevention and treatment.

The parties agreed to collaborate to reduce drug demand in the region and to publish an Arabic journal titled, "International Journal for Drug Use."
