US House to open public hearings on impeachment next week.

WASHINGTON, Nov 6 (KUNA) -- The US House of Representative announced it would begin public hearings on the impeachment inquiry into President Trump on Wednesday, November 13. The House Intelligence Committee will hear from Ambassador William Taylor and Deputy Assistant Secretary George Kent, said the Committee Chair Adam Schiff in a statement today. Taylor currently serves as the Charge D'affaires for the US State Department in Ukraine, while Kent serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary in the European and Eurasian Bureau at the Department. On Friday, November 15, the Committee will hear from former Ambassador Marie "Masha" Yovanovitch who served as the US Ambassador to Ukraine until May 2019. (end)
