US Group to invest 1.6 Syrian Pounds in fives projects in Syria.

Deir ez-Zor, 28 Aug: The US International Investment Group had entered with five new projects of 1.6 billion Syrian pounds taking total number of projects in industrial city of Deir ez Zor up to 35 according to a report issued from the City s governorates.

The total volume of investment projects in the city reached 4 billion Syrian pounds. The investments include food, engineering and chemical industries along with engaging some of 871 workers.

The volume of investment in the industrial city expected to increase after the government decision to exempt investment projects in the eastern region from taxes for ten years.

The industrial city of Deir ez Zor is the fourth industrial city in Syria 15 km far on Hasakah road in area of 2850 hectares with estimated cost of 5 billion Syrian pounds. The industry includes chemical, Food, Textile and engineering.
