US$810 MILLION IN NEW PROJECTS.

The Secretary of Transportation and Public Works announced that US$810 million in infrastructure projects are being put up for bid during November-December, reports El Nuevo Dia (Nov. 9, 2001). Together with these projects, there are a total of US$1.5 billion in projects put up for bid in the past four Months. Projects include: public housing, sewage treatment plants, Renovation of ports and prisons, underground power lines, and construction of new roads, and improvements at Luis Munoz Marin International Airport and San Juan port.
