URS Awarded U.S. Army Contract with Potential Value of $600 Million.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 21, 2003

URS Corporation (NYSE: URS) today announced that the Company's EG&G division, along with its small business prime contractor partner, International Consultants, Inc., was awarded one of eight U.S. Army Forces Command ("FORSCOM") Operations, Planning, Training and Resource Support Services ("OPTARSS") contracts.

The five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract has a potential total value to the project team of $600 million.

FORSCOM is responsible for training, mobilizing, and deploying combat-ready Army forces to meet combatant commander requirements. Under the terms of the contract, EG&G will provide support services for operations planning, troop mobilization planning and execution, training services for weapon systems, antiterrorist assessment and force protection training for Army installations.

Commenting on the contract, George R.
