UPS opens 2nd Rock Center facility.

United Parcel Service (UPS) signed a five-year agreement to lease space in Rockefeller Center for a new air service counter. The new facility will be located on the concourse level of the International Building at 630 Fifth Avenue. It will be the second UPS air service counter to be located in Rockefeller Center. The first, which opened in 1987, is located on the concourse of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

The new 1,000-square-foot facility will serve as an air service center for all overnight and second day air packages including delivery of letters, courier paks and other small packages. Plans are for the office to open during the second quarter of 1992.

The lease transaction was negotiated on behalf of the landlord, Rockefeller Center Management Corporation, by Jane Fincke Ellis and Edward J. Reilly, assistant vice president.
