UNVEILING 'ITT SHERATON CONNECTIONS' TO SERVE GROUP MEETING PLANNERS' MULTIPLE MEETING AND CONVENTION NEEDS
DALLAS, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Effective April 1, ITT Sheraton will unify and standardize its meeting sales, marketing and service elements for 16 North American major meeting hotels in gateway destinations with a new customer-driven meetings program called "ITT Sheraton Connections," the company announced today at a news conference here during PCMA. Designed by ITT Sheraton's Meetings Advisory Board, "ITT Sheraton Connections" offers meeting planners a simplified solution to organizing multiple meetings or conventions in single or multiple destinations. Meeting planners will receive: one salesperson, one-day turnaround for rates and dates, one standard contract, one simplified credit process, one service contact at each "ITT Sheraton Connections" hotel and one standard master bill format. "Meeting planners don't need to learn to do business with ITT Sheraton at different hotels over and over again; 'ITT Sheraton Connections' makes it easy by standardizing booking, service and billing processes," said Paul Tribolet, ITT Sheraton vice president and director of Worldwide Sales. With "ITT Sheraton Connections," meeting planners will receive these benefits: 1. On-line meeting space and rate checking 2. Instant confirmation by the local ITT Sheraton Sales Center 3. Standardized contracts, credit and billing 4. Standardized meeting services "ITT Sheraton Connections" recognizes meeting planners who have done business with us before and ensures that their preferences are included when they do business with us again," Tribolet said.
Provides On-Line Space And Rate Checking: Instant Confirmation
All ITT Sheraton Sales Centers in North America will have direct access through the Delphi Sales and Catering System (New Market Software, Durham, N.H.) into meeting space availability and rates. For meetings within 12 months from booking, ITT Sheraton Sales Center executives will be able to check meeting and sleeping room space availability and instantly confirm spcae availability for meetings with up to 200 rooms that meet pricing parameters. This will shatter the industry-standard two-to-five-day response delay.
Standardizes Contracts, Credit And Billing
"ITT Sheraton Connections" will eliminate planners' need to complete varying credit applications and contracts for each meeting at "ITT Sheraton Connections" hotels. The program will feature a customer- designed standardized billing format which will organize charges into commonly used categories and provide a simple summary.
Establishes Standardized Meeeting Services
If preferred, meeting planners will receive service by a single contact during their meetings as well as in advance. "ITT Sheraton Connections" provides planners with designated Conference Concierge service which will support the meeting with complete service from opening to close. Planners can request that the hotel's general manager attend pre- and post-convention meetings and will also receive total on-site availability by the Convention Service Manager.
