 UNOCAL ANNOUNCES REOPENING OF LOS ANGELES SERVICE STATIONS
 LOS ANGELES, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Unocal Corp. (NYSE: UCL) said today that of the 24 Unocal 76 service stations it has in the riot- affected areas, 16 are now back in operation. Three were totally destroyed by fire, and the remaining five are expected to be reopened by Friday. Of the three that were destroyed completely, one was slated for permanent closure before the riots and the other two are being re- evaluated.
 "We are anxious to return these operations back to normal as soon as possible, and are working with our affected dealers to see that there is as little disruption of gasoline supplies and service as possible." said Roger Beach, president, Unocal Refining and Marketing Division.
 Unocal resumed gasoline deliveries to the affected areas on Saturday, May 2.
 No dollar estimates of total damage to all sites is currently available.
