MIAMI, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Univision, the nation's leading Spanish-language television network, announced today the signing of the highest-rated Hispanic daytime talk show host, Cristina Saralegui, to a three-year deal that extends to 1995.
"Cristina," has been Spanish television's hottest afternoon ratings vehicle since 1989 and Saralegui has served as co-executive producer and host. She will continue her successful relationship with Univision in the same capacity.
"We feel that we have a solid foundation with Cristina and are very pleased that she has chosen to continue to inform and entertain the nation's Hispanic viewers on the leading network," commented Ray Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of Univision.
"Univision is where the viewers feel most comfortable, and I am proud to be able to provide quality programming that works for the network," said Saralegui. "It is a pleasure to continue to do business with people that I consider family," she continued.

She then moved to New York, where she worked on Cosmopolitan magazine with Helen Gurley Brown and by age 30 was named editor-in-chief for the Latin edition, Cosmopolitan En Espanol.
