UNITED OFFERS ENHANCED FIRST CLASS AND CONNOISSEUR CLASS SERVICE ON NEW YORK KENNEDY-LOS ANGELES ROUTE

UNITED OFFERS ENHANCED FIRST CLASS AND CONNOISSEUR
CLASS SERVICE ON NEW YORK KENNEDY-LOS ANGELES ROUTE
CHICAGO, April 3 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines announced today it will offer an enhanced First Class with sleeper seats and Connoisseur Class service beginning Sunday, April 5, between New York's John F. Kennedy Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.
The new services, offered initially on one three-class Boeing 767 flight in each direction, will be expanded to all four of United's flights in each direction by July 1.
"We are continuing our program to bring the elegance and style that have distinguished United's international service to domestic markets," said Adam M. Aron, senior vice president-marketing.
Noting that enhanced First Class and Connoisseur Class service are already available on United domestic flights (including Washington Dulles-Los Angeles, Washington Dulles-San Francisco, Chicago-Washington Dulles, Chicago-Los Angeles, Chicago-San Francisco and Miami-San Francisco), Aron said, "We believe business fliers who have appreciated United's upscale service to South America and across the Atlantic and the Pacific will respond enthusiastically to its introduction in the New York Kennedy-Los Angeles market."
 First Class Service Features
The reconfigured First Class cabin offers 10 international sleeper seats with electronic leg rests and a full 60 inches of pitch (the distance from row to row). The entertainment system features CD audio with electronic headsets.
Customers choosing First Class on these flights also can avail themselves of separate check-in services and priority boarding, deplaning and baggage delivery.
In flight, luncheon and dinner flights will offer Russian Malossol caviar and Absolut vodka, a newly designed menu with a choice of four entrees and an impressive wine list. Breakfast flights will offer a deli menu inspired by the renowned Nate 'N Al Deli of Beverly Hills.
Other unique culinary offerings include Godiva chocolates, Mrs. Field's cookies, cappuccino and 100 percent Colombian coffee.
 Connoisseur Class Service Features
United's Connoisseur Class cabin offers the additional comfort afforded by six-abreast seating in a two-two-two configuration with a total of some 32 or 33 seats depending upon specific aircraft. The middle seat found in other carriers' business class configuration (two- three-two) has been eliminated in Connoisseur Class.
As on other domestic Connoisseur Class flights, customers flying United will enjoy the comfort of wider seats with 40-inch pitch and adjustable footrests. Other features of Connoisseur Class include priority boarding, CD audio entertainment and priority baggage delivery.
Connoisseur Class customers can look forward to pre-departure champagne or juice, award-winning cuisine, elegant wines and, at meal's end, Godiva chocolates and 100 percent Colombian coffee.
Exclusive to the New York Kennedy-Los Angeles flights on United will be Mrs. Field's cookies and cappuccino served on board.
The new service will be offered initially on Flight 15, which departs from New York Kennedy at 5:50 p.m. and arrives in Los Angeles at 8:58 p.m. and on Flight 6, which departs from Los Angeles at 8:25 a.m. and arrives at New York Kennedy at 4:50 p.m.
