 UNITED HEALTHCARE'S PRESCRIPTION DRUG MANAGEMENT COMPANY
 ANNOUNCES NEW CLIENTS
 MINNEAPOLIS, Feb. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- United HealthCare Corporation ("UHC") (NYSE: UNH) today reported that Diversified Pharmaceutical Services ("DPS"), UHC's prescription drug cost and benefit management subsidiary, has initiated prescription drug management and administrative services, effective during the first quarter of 1992, for nine new clients including self-funded employers, insurers and health plans. With the addition of these new clients, DPS will serve approximately 6 million lives nationwide, up from 4.6 million lives at year-end 1991.
 Self-Funded Employers
 DPS is now initiating prescription drug cost and benefit management services for Pittsburgh-based Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Approximately 250,000 Westinghouse employees, retirees and their dependents are covered by DPS' pharmaceutical cost management program for self-funded employers.
 Similar new programs are being implemented for Jefferson-Smurfit Corporation (St. Louis, Mo.); Hoover Company, a part of Maytag Corporation (North Canton, Ohio); and Transtar (Monroeville, Pa.).
 Insurance Companies
 DPS has entered into a new contract with Milwaukee-based Time Insurance Company, one of the nation's largest insurance carriers, serving more than 700,000 lives. DPS has also signed a contract to provide pharmaceutical cost management services to Employers Insurance of Wausau (Wausau, Wis.) in 1992.
 Health Plans
 For this market segment, DPS has added Qual-Med, a Monte Vista, Colo.-based company that operates six health maintenance organizations with more than 248,000 members. Hospital Health Plan (Reno, Nev.) and Prime Health Plan (Mobile, Ala.) also have signed contracts and are scheduled for program implementation during the first quarter of 1992.
 DPS helps its clients manage pharmaceutical costs through its services which include the establishment of drug formularies and pharmacy networks, installation of point-of-sale claims processing and manufacturers' volume purchase programs.
 United HealthCare Corporation is a national leader in health care management, serving both the providers and purchasers of health care since 1974.
