 UNITED DAIRY INDUSTRY OF MICHIGAN APPOINTS SEFTON ASSOCIATES, INC.
 OKEMOS, Mich., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The United Dairy Industry of Michigan today named Sefton Associates, Inc. (Grand Rapids) as its advertising agency of record for state promotions.
 The United Dairy Industry of Michigan (UDIM) is a member-driven association which conducts a total promotion program for Michigan- produced milk and other REAL dairy foods.
 Operating under the UDIM "umbrella" are the American Dairy Association of Michigan (ADAM) and the Dairy Council of Michigan (DCM). ADAM is the advertising, marketing and communications division of UDIM. Its main function is the marketing of milk and milk products through advertising, retail, food service and food communications. These include: the well-known "Health Kick" television commercials; numerous retail/supermarket programs; school food service promotions; the Real Seal; consumer media information about dairy products; and other marketing programs.
 DCM is the nutrition education and nutrition research division of UDIM. Its main purpose is to contribute to the consumer's optimal health by encouraging food selection patterns that include dairy foods and foods from the other major food categories in accordance with current scientific recommendations.
