 UNITED ANNOUNCES ROUND-THE-WORLD CELEBRATION BONUS PROGRAM
 CHICAGO, Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines announced today a Round-the-World Celebration in honor of the introduction of the only around-the-world flights beginning Feb. 10, 1993. The Round-the-World Celebration offers a range of free travel benefits with the ultimate bonus: two free Connoisseur Class tickets on United's Round-the-World service for customers who fly 25 round-trip flights on United.
 "This promotion is aimed at rewarding business travelers who consistently fly United," said United Executive Vice President Marketing and Planning James M. Guyette. "The program will allow loyal Mileage Plus members to fly free to more than 270 United and United Express destinations worldwide." These free awards are in addition to regular Mileage Plus benefits.
 EARNING BONUS CREDITS
 Between Sept. 3 and Dec. 18, 1992, customers who fly on United round-trip will receive bonus credits for each paid, qualifying round- trip on United or United Express anywhere in the world. North American and Central American Travel:
 -- Economy customers earn one bonus credit per trip.
 -- First or Connoisseur Class customers earn two bonus credits for each round-trip.
 Other International Travel:
 -- Economy class customers earn one bonus credit for each trip.
 -- Connoisseur Class customers earn two bonus credits.
 -- First class customers earn three bonus credits for each round- trip.
 REDEEMING ROUND-THE-WORLD AWARDS
 There is no limit to the number of free tickets and upgrades that can be earned. Customers can redeem Round-the-World bonus credits for free travel between Jan. 6 and May 15, 1993, for the following awards:
 -- Four bonus credits are needed for one free economy class round- trip within the continental United States, or four 1,000-mile upgrade certificates.
 -- Seven bonus credits are needed for one free economy class round- trip between the continental United States and Hawaii, Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America or eight 1,000-mile upgrade certificates.
 -- Eleven bonus credits are needed for one free economy class round- trip between the United States and Asia, the South Pacific or twelve 1,000-mile upgrade certificates.
 -- Two free Connoisseur Class tickets on the Round-the-World flights, "United One" or "United Two," will be available to customers who earn 25 bonus credits.
 To request Round-the-World Celebration Award Certificate(s), valid for free ticket or upgrades, customers can call toll free 800-356-5657 between Nov. 15, 1992, and March 1, 1993.
 The Round-the-World program is valid for residents of the United States and Canada only, and credits must be redeemed for certificates by March 1, 1993, after which any unused credits expire.
