 UNITED ANNOUNCES MAJOR SCHEDULE INCREASE AT DENVER;
 CARRIER WILL OFFER 205 FLIGHTS BY SUMMER
 CHICAGO, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines announced today it will boost capacity significantly at Denver's Stapleton International Airport, increasing departures from 179 today to 202 May 1 and 205 by summer. "This represents our largest flight expansion in Denver in many years," said Vice Chairman J. C. Pope. "We are responding specifically to the needs of the business community by putting in additional service between Denver and key business destinations at very desirable times. Our current traffic and our advance bookings in Denver are encouraging, and we are confident the additional service we are putting in will be well received.
 Pope added, "Expansion involves a new bank of flights, which will fill a void in our current schedule and form the basis for future growth and strengthen our Denver hub as an attractive connecting point for east-west travelers."
 There are three key elements to United's Denver expansion:
 -- Improved service to three additional business centers allowing the business traveler to leave Denver in the morning for Phoenix, San Diego and Seattle and return home the same day. United already offers this same-day option to travelers heading from Denver to Chicago O'Hare, Dallas/Ft. Worth, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York La Guardia, Omaha, San Francisco, Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Washington Dulles.
 -- A new eastbound bank of flights at 1 p.m. with a combination of additional and better-timed flights to Boston, Chicago O'Hare, Dallas, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Newark, New York La Guardia and Philadelphia.
 -- A new westbound bank of flights at 2:30 p.m. with a combination of additional and better-timed flights to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle and Phoenix.
 n?ew flights will be operated primarily in Boeing 737-300 aircraft. United is continuing its expansion program this year, taking delivery of and placing into commercial service 66 new aircraft.
