UNITED AIRLINES WILL FLY ATLANTA-SAN FRANCISCO ROUTE

 CHICAGO, June 9 /PRNewswire/ -- United Airlines announced today it will inaugurate non-stop service between Atlanta and San Francisco beginning Sept. 8, 1993.
 "The significance of this new route is that it will make it much more convenient for customers in the Atlanta metropolitan area to connect to United's comprehensive daily Pacific service between its San Francisco gateway and Tokyo, Bangkok, Beijing, Hong Kong, Manila, Osaka, Seoul, Singapore and Taipei," said J.C. Pope, president and chief operating officer.
 "The route also will permit connections to United and United Express flights up and down the West Coast," Pope said.
 United, the leading carrier at San Francisco, will operate 183 daily departures there as of September. Atlanta will become United's 42nd city served non-stop from San Francisco.
 United Express, United's partner carrier, will offer an additional 134 flights to 21 non-stop destinations from San Francisco as of September.
 United's Atlanta-San Francisco flights will be operated in Boeing 737-300 aircraft seating eight passengers in First Class and 120 in Coach.
 Flight 1945 will depart from Atlanta at 8:10 a.m. and arrive in San Francisco at 10:22 a.m. Flight 1946 will depart from San Francisco at 1:30 p.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 9:10 p.m.
