UNITED AIRLINES TO ADD NON-STOP DENVER-CLEVELAND SERVICE; WILL OFFER 260 DAILY FLIGHTS FROM DENVER BY JUNE 9

CHICAGO, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Encouraged by positive customer response to its expanded service at Denver's Stapleton International Airport, United Airlines announced today it will add two daily flights between Denver and Cleveland beginning May 1 and a third daily flight June 9. United will operate the flights with B737-300 aircraft in a two-class configuration.
These new flights, combined with increased frequencies in other markets, will boost United's daily departures at Denver from 247 today to 260 departures for the summer travel season -- the most flights ever by United at Denver.
"United's continued growth in Denver reflects the success we've had since we began expanding our presence there last summer in anticipation of the opening of the new Denver International Airport," said J.C. Pope, United president and chief operating officer. "We expect these new Denver-Cleveland flights to fulfill a need for convenient, non-stop service between these two important U.S. cities."
United currently offers eight daily departures at Cleveland's Hopkins International Airport to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport and Washington, D.C.'s Dulles International Airport.
