UNISYS BUILDS NEW CAPABILITIES INTO BRANCH AUTOMATION SYSTEM
ORLANDO, Fla., Dec. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced new capabilities to be delivered with Release 4.0 of its Financial Systems Architecture (FSA) Finesse Branch Automation System.
Unisys is demonstrating its branch automation solutions this week at the Bank Administration Institute Retail Delivery Show at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.
Release 4.0 of FSA Finesse includes the following new features:
 -- Automatic Application Program Interface.
 -- Sales Incentive Tracking System.
 -- Enhanced SMART Sell Capability.
-- Support of CTOS SuperGen Products.
John H. McAleer, Unisys vice president of financial systems marketing, commented, "We're continually building new capability into FSA Finesse to provide branches of financial institutions with an integrated information processing and customer services system solution. Because of our strong track record of support and quality solutions, Unisys has earned the confidence of the banking community as a leading provider of branch automation solutions."
Introduced in 1986, FSA Finesse is one of the world's most successful financial branch automation solutions. In 1991, a major independent research firm's survey of branch automation system users ranked Unisys FSA Finesse No. 1 in overall satisfaction. Currently, FSA and FSA Finesse solutions are installed in the branch environments of more than 500 customers worldwide.
 Automated Application Program Interface
 Improves Productivity and Customer Service
With FSA Finesse Release 4.0, branch personnel will be able to switch automatically between FSA Finesse and other applications. This will result in improved productivity as data is moved automatically between applications without excessive keystrokes or re-keying of the data. With the automated application program interface (API), branch personnel can spend more time servicing the financial institution's customers.
Sales Incentive Tracking System Improves Sales,
 Profit, Revenue Opportunity
The Success Sales Incentive Tracking System (SITS), originally created by San Diego Trust -- a long-standing Unisys user -- is now integrated with FSA Finesse 4.0. SITS encourages retail branch personnel of financial institutions to become more proactive and sales- oriented. SITS monitors and recognizes sales productivity by individual employee, branch, and financial institution. This enables financial institutions to focus on improving sales, profitability, and revenue opportunity.
Enhanced SMART Sell Ensures Consistent Customer
 Service and Greater Professionalism
FSA Finesse SMART Sell analyzes individual customer account information and prompts branch personnel to make appropriate cross-sell recommendations. In Release 4.0, SMART Sell has been enhanced to allow optional automatic viewing of the SMART Sell recommendation. SMART Sell enables financial institutions to turn every customer encounter into a selling opportunity. Because all branch personnel can have access to the same information, customers receive consistent service from a staff of well-informed marketing professionals.
 SuperGen Workstations Ensures Investment Protection
FSA Finesse Release 4.0 provides support for the latest CTOS hardware offering, the SuperGen 2000 client workstation and the SuperGen 5000 Server and/or Client workstation. The SuperGen 2000 is a diskless 20 MHz 386SX workstation with 2MB to 8MB of high-speed memory, and accelerated "Super VGA" graphics at an entry-level price. The SuperGen 5000, the first of a series of workstation/server products, is based on the Intel 80486 processor running at 33 MHz with 4MB to 36MB of memory. Financial institutions can take advantage of the latest CTOS products without having to retrain their staff.
 Pricing and Availability
FSA Finesse Release 4.0, priced at $6,000 per branch, is available now.
