UNISYS AWARDED DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY $33.5 MILLION FACILITIES MANAGEMENT AND INFORMATION SERVICES CONTRACT

 MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Unisys Corporation (NYSE: UIS) today announced that it received a $33.5 million, five-year contract from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to provide facilities management and other information services.
 Under the terms of the contract, Unisys will manage all aspects of information processing operations, IBM 3084 and IBM 4341 mainframes, and associated communications networks, at the DOE Energy Information Administration's (EIA) Forrestal Computer Facility in Washington. Information services to be provided by Unisys include management of day-to-day operations, requirement analysis, information planning, software design and development, hardware and software maintenance and other functions.
 James F. McGuirk, president of the Federal Systems division of Unisys said, "With increasing frequency, Unisys is being chosen to manage large, complex information processing facilities like the Forrestal Center that have IBM or other manufacturers equipment installed. Decades of Unisys experience managing similar projects allow us to manage the DOE/EIA facility with minimal risks and costs."
 Unisys has more than 30 years of experience in providing outsourcing and facilities management services to the U.S. government, and commercial customers. Other Unisys facilities management contracts with the U.S. federal government include those with the Department of Transportation Volpe National Systems Center/RSPA and the Department of Energy Bonneville Power Administration. Commercial outsourcing agreements include those with Chase Manhattan Bank, California Republic Bank, Subaru of America, Ford Motor Company, Ferro AB of Sweden, and IBM ISSC (as a subcontractor under IBM's outsourcing contract with McDonnell Douglas Corporation).
