UNIROYAL CHEMICAL COMPANY, INC., CONSUMMATES $270 MILLION DEBT OFFERING

 MIDDLEBURY, Conn., Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniroyal Chemical Company, Inc., announced today that it has consummated its previously announced public offering of $270 million principal amount of its 9 percent Senior Notes due 2000. Morgan Stanley & Co. Incorporated acted as the underwriter of the offering.
 Uniroyal Chemical also announced that it has called for redemption all of its Senior Secured Notes Due 1997, which are comprised of $108 million principal amount of floating rate notes and $162 million principal amount of 12.22 percent notes. In connection with the redemption, the company has irrevocably deposited in trust for the benefit of the holders of the Senior Secured Notes government obligations in an amount necessary to pay interest, principal and premium on such notes on and prior to the redemption dates of Sept. 30, 1993, for the floating rate notes and Oct. 1, 1993, for the 12.22 percent notes.
