UNIQUE MOBILITY ANNOUNCES FIRST QUARTER RESULTS
DENVER, March 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Unique Mobility Inc. (OTC)

announced today operating results for the quarter ended Jan. 31, 1992. The company reported an operating loss for the quarter of $346,192 or 5 cents per share on total revenue of $733,085 versus a loss of $139,330 or 3 cents per share on total revenue of $635,988 for the first quarter of fiscal 1991.
According to Ray A. Geddes, chairman and chief executive officer, "During the first quarter of fiscal 1992, the company implemented several organizational changes to position the company for future growth and increased its internal research and development expenditures more than two fold over the level expended in the first quarter of fiscal 1991. While these efforts contributed to operating losses for the quarter, the company's financial condition and liquidity remained strong due to the exercise by the company's underwriters of an over-allotment option to purchase an additional 210,000 shares of common stock at $2 per share in November."
Separately, Unique announced that it has been retained by Aisin AW of Anjou City, Japan to develop a multi-wheel electric vehicle traction system for passenger car applications. The first of these systems, a two-wheel drive and a four-wheel drive, will be delivered to Aisin AW in May 1992. Aisin AW is a member of the Aisin group of companies which is an affiliate of Toyota Motor Co.
Unique is an Englewood, Colo. based engineering concern active in the design and development of high power density electric motors and related electronic controls for automotive, aerospace and general industrial applications.
