 UNILEVER UNITED STATES APPOINTS JWT AS AN AGENCY OF RECORD
 NEW YORK, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Unilever United States, Inc. has announced the appointment of J. Walter Thompson as an agency of record for a part of its network television buying activity. This assignment becomes effective April 1, 1992.
 JWT replaces Unilever's in-house buying operation, L&L Media, and will join the C. A. Botway Company in jointly handling buying assignments for Chesebrough-Pond's USA, Lever Brothers Company, Thomas J. Lipton Company, Ragu Foods Company and Van den Bergh Foods Company.
 The overall management of all media activities for these companies will be the continuing responsibility of the Unilever United States, Inc. in-house media operation, UNUS Media.
 Unilever United States, Inc. is the holding company for Unilever's businesses in the United States. Unilever, with 1991 sales of $41 billion, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of consumer products, including foods, detergents and personal products, and specialty chemicals.
