UNIFORCE TEMPORARY PERSONNEL ANNOUNCES SECOND QUARTER RESULTS
NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., Aug. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniforce Temporary Personnel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNFR) today announced its revenues and earnings for the second quarter 1992. Revenues were $21,119,701 for the quarter ended June 30, 1992 as compared to $23,513,668 for the second quarter of 1991. Net earnings for the quarter were $295,774 ($.07 per share) versus $357,606 ($.08 per share) for 1991.
Remarking on the company's second quarter performance, John Fanning, president and chief executive officer, stated, "We are diminishing our emphasis on low margin light industrial business due to increasing workers' compensation insurance costs and other problems associated with this type of business which could, temporarily, impede our business. However, positive industry trends have been observed and the company could be the beneficiary of these. Our focus on product line changes into the high margin professional temp sector should work in tandem with these trends toward building sales and profitability starting in 1993."
The company, under its trade name Uniforce Services, is a national network of 67 predominantly licensed offices providing temporary personnel in the general and automated office, MIS, technical, lab support, legal, marketing, accounting, records management, hospitality and light industrial service categories.
