UNIFORCE TEMPORARY PERSONNEL ANNOUNCES 1991 REVENUES AND EARNINGS
NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., March 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniforce Temporary Personnel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNFR) today announced its revenues and earnings for 1991. Revenues were $91,641,085 for the year ended Dec. 31, 1991, as compared to 1990 revenues of $113,402,082. Net earnings for 1991 were $1,225,027 ($.28 per share) versus $2,930,936 ($.65 per share) in 1990.
Commenting on 1991, John Fanning, president and chief executive officer, stated, "The year was a challenging one as the economic recession and overall slowdown in the temporary services industry continued to impact our operating results. The severity and duration of the recession, which have exceeded the expectations of the business community, are anticipated to have a similar effect on the temporary services industry and our first quarter operating results. We concur with forecasts that general economic conditions will improve during the second half of 1992, and we believe that this improvement will have a favorable effect on our operating results."
"We will continue to take steps that contribute to both long-term profitability and growth through acquisitions and conversions of existing temporary services to the Uniforce system. In addition, our focus remains on aggressively marketing our new high-tech MIS/CADD Division and developing targeted product lines with high profit, long- term growth."
"Through this long-term strategy, we're confident that we can anticipate an improvement in our future performance. We have weathered recessions and economic downturns throughout our 31 year history only to emerge even stronger."
The company, under its trade name Uniforce Temporary Services, is a national network of 70 predominantly licensed offices providing temporary personnel in the general and automated office, marketing, accounting, records management, MIS, technical, legal, hospitality and light industrial service categories.
