UNIFORCE TEMPORARY PERSONNEL, INC. ANNOUNCES YEAR END RESULTS

NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y., March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniforce Temporary Personnel, Inc. (NASDAQ: UNFR) today announced its revenues and earnings for 1992. Revenues for the year ending Dec. 31, 1992 were $82,925,182 as compared to $91,641,085 for 1991. Net earnings for the year ending Dec. 31, 1992 were $1,143,932 ($.26 per share) as compared to $1,225,027 ($.28 per share) for 1991.
Commenting on the company's fourth quarter performance and future plans, president and chief executive officer, John Fanning stated, "As we continue into our fourth decade in the temporary personnel services industry, our focus remains on innovation. The recent development of higher margin professional services sectors and product lines such as MIS, legal, technical and medical office support, and the continued development of general office and automated office product lines will replace the loss of a substantial amount of light industrial services business, which was reduced by design due to onerous workers' compensation insurance costs and eroding margins. This area will allow us to redeploy our assets and focus on higher-margin niches that represent the fastest-growing segments of the economy."
The company, under its operating name Uniforce Services, is a national network of 64 predominantly licensed offices as well as a back office servicing and funding organization providing temporary personnel in the general and automated office, MIS, technical, legal, marketing, accounting, records management, hospitality and light industrial service categories. The Uniforce common stock is traded in the over-the-counter market under the NASDAQ symbol UNFR.
